During the ‘European Tidal Power Opportunities Conference’ that will be held this Thursday 19 September there will be a call for membership for the Water Action Group ‘Energy & Water Works’. Dutch partners and international partners will be working together on this European programme, that will become part of the European Innovation Partnership (EIP) Water.
The EIP-Water Action Group will be focusing on the production of energy from water in deltas and on the coast with a link to delta-technology and flood-protection structures. The group will be developing multi-functional energy uses for new and existing barriers and dams by producing energy from water using osmosis and tidal flows. The innovations:

The formation of the EIP-Water Action Group is based on four innovative Dutch projects for obtaining energy from water on or at water defences and involving leading research institutions, government authorities and the corporate sector at the European level.
